Aligned Technology Partners (formerly On-Site PC Services) sponsored the bar at Party in the Pasture, held February 28, 2026 at Circle T Ranch in support of Metroport Meals on Wheels.
It was the kind of North Texas evening the region does well. Live music from the Limelight Band, Texas cooking, and a room full of people who mostly know each other from somewhere: a chamber luncheon, a job site, a kid's ball game, a neighboring suite in an office park. Business leaders, community partners, and local families, all in one place for a few hours.
Every ticket sold went toward Metroport Meals on Wheels and its work delivering meals to seniors across the Metroport communities. That is the part worth sitting with for a moment.
What the organization actually does
Meals on Wheels programs are usually described in terms of nutrition, and that undersells them.
For a senior living alone in Roanoke, Justin, or Trophy Club, the volunteer at the door is frequently the only person they will speak to that day. The delivery is a meal and also a check. Someone notices if the porch light is out, if the mail has piled up, if things seem off. It is a small daily thread connecting people to the community around them, and for a lot of families it is the difference between a parent staying in their home and not.
That kind of service runs on routes, schedules, volunteer coordination, and reliable information about who needs what and when. It is operationally more complex than it looks from the outside, and it happens every single day regardless of weather, holidays, or staffing.
Why a technology company shows up for this
Aligned Technology Partners is a managed IT and cybersecurity firm headquartered at 1415 Cannon Pkwy in Roanoke, Texas. We have been here since 2001, and we support 135+ businesses across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
There is a straightforward version of the answer: this is our community, our office is here, and our employees live here. That is sufficient on its own.
There is also a version that connects to the work. What we do for clients is keep things running when circumstances do not cooperate. Continuity is the whole job. The systems a business depends on have to work on the bad days, not just the ordinary ones, because the bad days are when the dependency actually gets tested.
An organization delivering meals to seniors is doing the same thing at a human scale. The service has to arrive on the day the weather is terrible, the day two volunteers call out, and the day the schedule falls apart. Continuity of care rather than continuity of systems, but the same underlying discipline: something that people rely on, held together by people who plan for the bad day in advance.
Supporting that work is consistent with how we think about ours.
The same principle inside a business
Take a 45-person service company in Roanoke. Dispatch, scheduling, invoicing, and customer communication all run through two systems. Nobody thinks about either one, because both work.
Then the server hosting the scheduling database fails at 6:15 on a Tuesday morning. Crews are already loading trucks. The office cannot tell them where to go. Customers are calling to confirm appointments nobody can look up. Within ninety minutes, the entire day is compromised, and the cost is not the server. It is a day of lost field productivity, a queue of frustrated customers, and a week of catching up.
Whether that Tuesday becomes a two-hour problem or a two-day one was decided months earlier, by whether anyone had tested a restore, documented what needed to come back first, and established who makes the call.
That is the Protect pillar in practice, and it is what our business continuity work is built around. Not a backup product. A tested answer to the question of what happens on the worst morning of the year.
Why local businesses should show up
Community involvement gets treated as something separate from running a business, a nice extra once the real work is done. In a region like the Metroport corridor, that framing misses what is actually happening.
The businesses here grew because the area grew, and the area grew because people chose to build here. Those choices are supported by the organizations that make a community somewhere people want to stay: the ones caring for seniors, feeding families, and keeping the civic infrastructure functioning between the parts government handles.
Businesses that invest in that are investing in the conditions that let them operate. It is not charity separate from strategy. For businesses across North Texas, the health of the community and the health of the customer base are not distinct things.
Thank you to Metroport Meals on Wheels for the work and for putting the evening together, and to everyone who bought a ticket. It was a good night for a cause that earns it.
If your worst morning arrived tomorrow
The businesses that handle a bad day well are not lucky. They decided in advance what would happen.
We will run a backup and recovery check on your environment: whether your backups complete, whether a restore has actually been tested, how long recovery would realistically take, and what your team would do in the first hour. You will get a clear picture and a short list of gaps, in plain language.
